The Anomaly Research Log

Newly released files documenting the experiences of [Ȑ̷̢̡̢̹̻̹̭̟̻̦̠̭͕̟̙̎̊̓̍͂̋E̶͙͚͋̉̓̒̽̀̇̏̓̃͝͝D̸̛͖͉̭̖̙̲͚͍̈́̈́̈́̅̌̅̄̓̽̆͘͝͝͝Ä̴̡̯̟̹̞́͊̑͆̓C̶̛͎̺̲͕͙̹̜̜͚̪̼̫͍̲͍͊͌̆͋̅̌͆͌̎͛́̏̿̇̕̕T̴̘̘̝̋̔̎̂̚͘͝͝Ȩ̵͚͖͓̪͓̗̪͉̾̎͋͊̒̒̔̆͗́͒̑̚̕͝D̵̥̭̮̍̾̍̋ͅ].

If you're reading this, we don't have much time. We finally found the files we've been looking for— and it's a lot more than we expected. Project [REDACTED] has been going on for longer than any of us thought possible. Even the Director was surprised at how many [REDACTED] they've been monitoring. If we would have known, we would have acted before. Maybe we could have saved some of them.

I can only hope this message is reaching the right people. I don't think there are many left at the Archive. We knew the danger we were putting ourselves in, but I didn't think it would end like this. I didn't think I would be the last— well. What's done is done. The others wouldn't want me crying over them. Enclosed are the files of everything you, whoever you are, have to know. To stop them, and hopefully, to save everyone else. Anyone else. That's what they've been trying to stop. They're so sick they'd rather feed us to the [REDACTED] than work together to find a way to stop them from coming into our world. I'm not sure what they want from them. I hope you can find out.

If you don't hear from me again, it's because they know who I am. They've known for a long time, but publishing this will be the final nail in my coffin. I can already hear it closing around me. I can hear them closing around me. They'll try to find you too. But soon, they'll be too many that know the truth, that know about them, to stop.

Please. You need to help us. It's the only way to make any of this have any meaning. And I understand fear. I understand you might be scared. But this is bigger than you, than me. And if you stand by while the rest of us are picked off, one by one, they'll come for you to. It doesn't matter if you think you're one of the good ones. They don't care about that.

Like I said. I understand fear. What I've never understood is the bystander effect, as they call it. The belief that others will help, will do the hard work, as a way to absolve you from working alongside them. There might be others, reading this now, side by side with you as you both trudge through this code. There might be no one else. Do not be a bystander.

I wish I could say this will be safe. I imagine you can tell it won't be from what I've just said. Instead, I'll tell you it is important. It can save you one day. And, if nothing else, it's a hell of a story. Go through the Archives. You're the only one who can.
